Orthopedic Injuries

Our orthopedic surgeons are musculoskeletal specialists, with expertise treating injuries and conditions affecting bones, joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles. Children, especially, are more vulnerable to injury because their bodies are growing. Baby boomers are also prone to these injuries because they frequently have been exercising for a long time--so prone it's informally known as "Boomeritis."

Two types of orthopedic injury exist:

  1. A sudden trauma like a fall can cause a traumatic injury, including sprains, strains, bruises and fractures. Elderly people fall the most often, but traumatic injuries can happen to anyone.
  2. Overuse injuries occur when you overdo a repetitive motion creating a series of repeated small injuries. Usually caused by training errors, improper technique or improper equipment.

Whether you've had a recent injury or experience a chronic condition, we are the medical and surgical specialists best suited to address and resolve your problem. We keep up with the frequent developments in our field.

We will listen to you and educate you on your options so you can achieve your treatment goal.
